Additionally, while all of us celebrate our ability to multitask, it’s really “serial” tasking that we’re doing. In effect, we’re requiring our brain to act like a teenager learning to drive a five-speed: We’re shifting gears quickly and abruptly, and slamming on the breaks in the process. As it sounds, this is not always the best way to get from point A to point B.

The new annotations appear when a user hovers over the +1 button. Hovering over it will display a list of friends and contacts that have already clicked the +1 button for that page. Google has also unveiled new code for the +1 button that will display the faces and names of friends that have used the +1 button. Ian Magee was sick of people speeding past his house at double the speed limit, so he installed this fake speed camera in a really conspicuous spot on his property.

What’s really clever, is that Magee didn’t just put up a dummy speed camera, he made it into a real working bird feeder, allowing the critters to get in where the lens would normally be.

Sites won’t even have to know about each other, and it takes only a few lines of code.
