The Web giant has created Google+ Pages, a place where businesses can add their own content so customers and fans can connect with them.”So far Google+ has focused on connecting people with other people,” Google Senior Vice President of Engineering Vic Gundotra wrote in a blog post. “But we want to make sure you can build relationships with all the things you care about–from local businesses to global brands–so today were rolling out Google+ Pages worldwide.”

When your updates stop receiving Likes and comments, it may be time to post a new update to make sure you’re consistently engaging your fans. Here we’ll walk-through how to find your optimal Facebook Page publishing frequency.

PageLever ran a limited study of 20 posts from five Facebook Pages with over 1 million fans. It found that that average lifespan of a Page post in the news feed was 22 hours and 51 minutes. The median lifespan was 19 hours and 30 minutes.

Companies that must grapple with whether to maintain their Facebook pages in-house or outsource them to firms – thus adding another line item to their budgets –  are finding the decision harder to make.For while Facebook is indeed enhancing its own features for DIY users, third-party providers are also beefing up their own offering. The latest example of the former is new functionality Facebook appears to be testing that gives page administrators “per post” data.

Unfortunately, as evidenced in the video embedded below, a newly appointed Page admin can remove the Page creator’s admin status, which can be very nasty in certain cases. Today, Facebook Pages are more than fun, they’re a serious part of business promotion and losing administrative access to a Page can lead to host of problems.
